| The colors I used in this watercolor portrait above are listed below. As noted on the photo, I mixed many of these watercolors together to approximate the colors in the reference photo at the bottom of the page. The watercolors also had to match a mental image of the finished painting which I made in my head before I began, and which you can see was slightly brighter than the reference photo. | |

| The word 'glaze' noted in this photo is not a watercolor. Instead, glaze is a method of applying a different watercolor over another dry watercolor gently enough so as not to dissolve the color underneath. | |
